Template for lawyer review
This is a starter document, not legal advice and not a claim that VeloIQ is compliant. It describes what the product does today and flags gaps a lawyer should confirm before you rely on it. The contact address is hello@veloiqapp.com.
Beta
VeloIQ is in beta. The product does not define paid plans, and use is free while beta is open. Features can change or break. A lawyer should replace this section with the warranty, liability, and billing terms you actually want before any paid plan exists.
Accounts
Accounts are for parents, guardians, and coaches. You are responsible for the activity under your login. Do not create an account for a child to use as their own. Athletes are added by name on clips, not as separate users.
Video you upload
You may only upload video you have the right to share. If the athlete is a minor, the person uploading needs permission from the parent or guardian. That includes video filmed by a coach. VeloIQ does not currently collect a signed media release inside the app. A lawyer should decide whether a release is required before coaches or families share clips.
You keep ownership of your video. You give VeloIQ permission to store it, show it to the coaches you connect, and send frames to the AI service that scores the clip and drafts the practice plan. That permission ends when the video is deleted, except for copies a vendor still holds under its own retention, which a lawyer needs to confirm.
Coaching, not a guarantee
AI comments are a first pass. A coach confirms the priority. Training suggestions are general practice ideas, not medical advice, and not a promise that an athlete will throw harder, hit better, or avoid injury. Stop if something hurts.
Acceptable use
Do not upload video you have no right to share, do not use the app to harass an athlete, and do not attempt to access another family's clips. We may suspend an account that misuses youth video. The product does not yet have a formal abuse-review process. The owner needs to decide who handles those reports.
Deletion
Parents can delete one athlete's clips, scores, notes, and goals from that athlete's page. That does not close the login. Email hello@veloiqapp.com to ask for the account itself to be deleted. See the privacy notice for what deletion covers today and what it does not.
